This week, the Department of Health and Social Care announced how the NHS is working with Amazon to use Alexa to deliver health advice.
According to the Department:
The technology will help patients, especially the elderly, blind and those who cannot access the internet through traditional means, to get professional, NHS-verified health information in seconds, through simple voice commands.
People will be able to ask their Amazon Echo’s simple questions such as, “Alexa, what are the symptoms of flu?” and “Alexa, what are the symptoms of chickenpox”.
