It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The WaveLength tree is up and the big day is nearly upon us. And with all of the festive cheer going around, we wanted to share a little of our own.
As the year draws to a close we want to say a huge Thank You to everyone who has helped us throughout 2016. Your support has changed lives. Over the past year we have started projects to reach cancer patients, dementia sufferers, hospital in-patients, Syrian refugees and individuals with learning disabilities, to name but a few. In 2016 we have worked with over 200 organisations up and down the country to alleviate loneliness in over 3,000 people. We could not have done this without your help.
For those 3,000 people, this Christmas will be a merrier one than the last. This year they no longer feel alone. So on behalf of all of them, we at the WaveLength team will raise a glass to you this Christmas. Thank you.
In our Christmas newsletter you can read more about the lives that you have helped to change, and read a few of the letters of thanks and support that we have received this year. If you would like to receive a copy of our newsletter in the post next year please do let us know!
Finally, we will be working hard next year to reach even more people. There are still thousands of people in the UK who will spend Christmas alone this year – we are committed to making sure that those who are lonely this year will have comfort and companionship in 2017. If you are able to donate to our Christmas appeal, please do so today. However much or little you are able to give will change lives.
From all of us at WaveLength, have a very Merry Christmas.
